I've just purchased a bluetooth mouse and belkin bluetooth dongle for my Windows 7 pro 64bit laptop.Both devices installed fine and I was able to pair the mouse to my pc very quickly without manually installing any drivers.However the performance of the mouse if very poor and there is significant lag/delay when moving the pointer.Is there anything that can be done to resolve this? I am certain it is an issue specific to bluetooth after tests.I currently have 4 pointing devices attached for testing:- 1 wired usb mouse- 1 logitech anywhere mx wireless (non-bluetooth)- 1 inland wireless mouse (bluetooth)- 1 apple magic trackpad (bluetooth)The wired-usb and logitech track fast and smooth, while either bluetooth device is 1/2 to 2/3 slower and jerky.
Changing pointer speed changes speed on all mice, relative speed difference persists.I know it is NOT- 900mhz radio interference in device cluttered office- bluetooth devices function as expected on xp notebook- no noise in bluetooth headsets- works when connected to xp machine.- no change with logictech wireless on/off- too many bluetooth mice- bluetooth mice same performance with either one on alone, or with both on.- drivers- updating/reinstalling, no changeIndividual mouse pointer speed control might address problem. You will probably find that moving the location of your bluetooth dongle and where you use the mouse will make the difference.
I have found often that wireless interefence will cause that irritating lag. Bluetooth does not always work as errorfree as you would expect. Usually some sort of interference is causing the lag you are experiencing.

I have found that at times just having a solid surface like a desk's top between the dongle and the mouse can introduce enough lag to make youwant to pull your hair out. This is probably your best bet. I'm having the same problem - tried everything here.
Works fine at times, and very laggy when the system has apps running. I suspect the bluetooth driver is running low priority and getting swamped; I find when I'm running lots of apps the mousegets so bad I frequently overshoot my target. No problem with other mice.This is a bluetooth problem with Windows 7; tested on a Mac fine. I'm hoping I just need the name of the right process to bump up the priority on it so it doesn't get dropped with all the other 'normal' processes running hot. Your link times out. (also its leading to apple, and i dont see how apple fixes my problem with windows drivers)this is a mass phenomen, also easy to reproduce it happenes on almost any desktopwith a bluetooth dongle using windows 7 and even an original microsoft bluetooth mouse (which works fine on an apple btw)It is not radio interference or USB port numbers, battery voltage or power safe mode(the tab is missing anyways)its the bloody drivers.all other bluetooth devices work fine on the dongle (such as this mac keyboard i am typing these lines with.
Age of defence hacked. Or my windows mobile phone. Or basically anything else)anyone trying to help. Just reproduce the issue, and then check with engineering.no more fog grenades distracting from software bugs in the drivers.
The consumer cannot fix your bug, thats your job. Get on on with it please. Years have passed, and the issue has not even turned into a bug report for engineering. However, I have the same problem with a wired mouse and the touchpad.I believe that this is an issue with the video display, and is not a particular issue with Bluetooth.I found that turning off Spotify resulted in an improvement, but the performance seems to have deteriorated over the weekend.I have updated the video drivers, but I'm still having problems. It does seem to be an intermittent problem, but I can't track down the source of the trouble.
