Windows 10 Disable Edge Swipe

  1. Edge Swipe Options

Hello,Since Windows 10 no longer has the charms bar, I was wondering if it were possible to assign edge-swipe touchpad gestures on Windows 10.I have Control Zone type touchpad on my non-touchscreen HP laptop and it looks extremely ugly when the left and the right of the touchpad is darker gray but has no distinct purpose than the middle part.I couldn't find any way to enable edge-swipe gestures in the Control Panel or Settings app. (Maybe there is but I failed to find.)Is there any way to have edge-swipe gestures on Windows 10?

On tablets, swiping from left if the screen brings up Task View and from right brings up Action Center. The gestures could at least be like that on the touchpad, too.Is HP (or Synaptics) planning to release updated drivers for such thing? Is there any way to create our own touchpad gestures, perhaps?Thank you!

It appears the edge swipe is part of Explorer shell. You can use Shell Launcher to start a different shell. Sean Liming - Book Author: Starter Guide Windows 10 IoT Enterprise - www.annabooks.com / www.seanliming.com.

Edge Swipe Options

Hey guys Synaptics just released their new generic 16.2.21 and it's awesomeThe Synaptics driver server seems to be down right now but this Korean site has the file and took less than 10 minutes for me to download:-You can disable charm swipes (so annoying accidentally hitting them all the time, I never use metro for anything)-Two finger scrolling how has momentum. It works REALLY well in Explorer 10, it's very close to my old MacBook pro. You can just flick your fingers lightly and quickly like a Mac, rather than dragging your fingers at constant speed. Office 2013 also scrolls beautifully. Unfortunately Windows file explorer, menus, Firefox and Chrome are still jumpy because Synaptics' acceleration is too high and these programs don't compensate for it. Synaptics should have an acceleration setting IMO.-Two finger tap for secondary clickOverall this is the first time I am happy with my W520 trackpad or a windows trackpad in general.

I have to switch to Explorer from Chrome but it's worth it, Explorer 10 isn't so bad.
