This is a product review of the Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor, applicable to both the single and double under mattress pad versions. I also show how you can use two seperate Angelcare (for two children) units in your house, by having the parent monitors on two separate channels. We've used the single pad version with our older daughter who is now almost two, and have the newer double pad version for our younger daughter, currently 4 months when this video was taken. While both versions offer the same features as far as the alarm and sound options, the additional pad underneath the mattress helps to lessen or eliminate false alarms when the baby moves too far away from the center of the crib. (A problem that we occasionally had with a medium sized baby that moved a lot in the crib with the single pad version, we have not had any false alarms with the double pad version.)I would highly recommend this baby monitor to any expecting or new parent!

  • Angel care Baby Monitors, what a disgrace. We have had our AC1100 Angel care Baby Monitor 2 weeks as we got it as a present, and unfortunately the Nursery unit just stopped working for no reason had somehow gotten damaged and it doesn't work. I phoned the angel care customer care cell number which never got answered 082 863 2331 is the number.

It has helped give us peace of mind at night, to know that we can hear a tic every time the monitor senses movement. (Movement = breathing when baby is asleep.) Please note you MUST make sure that nothing in the room will cause false movement readings (like a fan) prior to using the monitor, and always re-check the sensitivity level if you turn a fan up higher or open a window. Anything that could cause a draft or additional movement in the room. All opinions in this review are my own. I was not paid or sponsored to do this review in any way, I just liked the Angelcare monitor so much after using it with both of our girls.

This award-winning baby Movement & Sound Monitor system is both pretty and practical. Slide the Sensor Pad under the crib mattress and its motion detectors will pick up the slightest movements, whether baby is sound asleep or wide awake.

Plus, like music to your ears, you’ll hear every little sound coming from baby’s room on your portable Parent Unit, which features a full color digital display, nursery temperature display and other extras designed to give you the peace of mind you need to get a good night’s sleep too.IMPORTANT:The Breathing Sensor Pad can be used with most baby mattresses. However, it cannot be used with memory foam mattresses or mattresses with a hollow frame.PLEASE NOTE:Monitoring of premature baby or babies considered to be at risk, should be carried out only under the supervision of a Doctor or Health Professional. Baby

This has given us peace of mind since we moved our little one out of the bassinet in our room to the crib in her own room. We have been using it for about a month and have not had any false alarms yet. I know it works because if I pickup baby before turning the sensor off the alarm sounds. The only con so far is that there is a constant humming and clicking noise through the parent monitor.

It's most noticeable at night as we lay in bed. I have read this is common on some models and we have yet to find a fix for it- we have tried changing channels, disconnecting wifi in the house and moving cell phones further away from the device. Somewhat annoying but I'll deal with it as long as I know it's working! Rated 5 out of5 byNekoKitsune fromGreat product!

I have had this monitor for 5 months now. My son was having trouble with Apnoea attacks at the hospital so we bought it as a precaution.

It works amazingly. Only issue we have is sometimes the parents model will make a loud fuzzy noise but it only happens rarely and I think it has to do with it being to far away from the baby monitor part (did it on one side of our room doesn't seem to when moved to closer to the baby's room(so the other side of our room).

It's easy to use, has great detail on the parents monitor (temp of baby's room, a little metronome (like a clock one) that shows baby is moving and the pad is sensing it). My sister used this with both her kids and loved it as well. The monitor is relatively easy to install and the sensitivity of it is amazing. I have no fear that it won't pick up my baby's movements, even if he moves to the edges of the Crib. I looked into sound and video monitors as well but this got amazing reviews from the baby gear lab and I can sleep at night knowing that my little one is safe thanks to this awesome monitor!!

We had a few false alarms because my first daughter would roll herself all the way to the edge or corner of the crib where the monitoring couldn't properly detect her. That only happened a few times. My favorite features are the constant sound so that I can hear the smallest of whimpers or cries and get to the baby before she's fully awake.

It also shows the temperature which was awesome for knowing if I needed a fan or not or adjust the thermostat. I've used his monitor with two babies and now two toddlers, and can't wait to get another one. Rated 4 out of5 bylittlejs fromExcellent with a few glitches We used this for our oldest and loved it.

The comfort it gave my anxious mind was invaluable. We did have some occasions of false alarms where the unit would beep as if baby had stopped breathing, but each time it was a fluke. Once we got the sensitivity set properly, those instances were reduced. Another concern is the cord from the sensor pad to the monitor. You need to be VERY careful to run it in a way that it doesn't pose a strangulation hazard. The other issue we had was the lights on the monitor gave out eventually making it impossible to change the settings. It took probably 2-3 years, so it wasn't horrible but still frustrating.

All in all, we did love it and will be buying a new one for our next. Rated 5 out of5 byLilLisa87 fromAbsolutely love it After a family member lost their child to SIDS i was terrified of something happening so i got this monitor while i was still pregnant. I have had it going every nap time and night for 2years and i can honestly say i have no issues with it.I can clearly hear every sound she makes, you can set room temperature alerts, the parent unit is fully changable to suit any individual preferance - from light sleeper to heavy sleeper or 'want to hear everything' to 'just tell me when there is a problem'.I highly recommend this to everyone. Thank you for contacting Angelcare North American Helpline. We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with your monitor.Unfortunately, if you have purchased your monitor outside North America, we are unable to process any request for replacement units.Due to the software differences between North America & International models, any replacement parts we keep in stock will not connect/work with your monitor. If the monitor you have is an international one, we would recommend that you contact the distributor in the country where you purchased it for assistance. Click here to be directed to the list of our International Distributors.Additionally, as our monitors are for North American market only, our warehouse is not able to dispatch any North American parts internationally. However, we can send a replacement unit to a North American address and this could be forwarded to you thereafter.

To do so, you need to provide us with the following information:Model of monitor, it is mentioned on the Parent & Nursery Unit and begins by ACThe Batch/Lot Number. It is located underneath the Parent Unit, Nursery Unit and Sensor Pad on a small white labelProof of purchase, receipt. We can accept a picture/photo clearly showing the date and productA full North American address with a name of contact and phone number. We hope this information is helping you and we thank you for choosing Angelcare.Best regards. Thanks for contacting Angelcare Monitor.Your monitor is probably low battery.Firstly, can I ask, when you please the Parent Unit on the Charging Cradle, does the battery symbol illuminate to indicate that the Parent Unit is charging? If not, then the batteries are not inserted correctly. Please when inserting the batteries ensure that they are inserted correctly. If you cannot see the battery icon in the top right hand corner, then the batteries are not inserted correctly. This would explain why when you take the Parent Unit off the charging Cradle it is switching itself off.

Please see below for “Inserting Batteries Correctly” information below. In addition to this, have you recently replaced the rechargeable batteries?Angelcare recommend that you change the batteries approx. Every 6 months. The cells depreciate over time as they are constantly charged and can give a false reading and the Parent Unit can switch back on albeit for a short amount of time – please see below for “Rechargeable Battery Information”.If this does not help you, please contact with your local distributor:Valiant Enterprises323, Warrigal RdCheltenham 3192Victoria, Melbourne+61 3 9581 8000fax: +61 3 9581 8088info@valiantbrands.com.auwww.valiantbrands.com.au. Thank you for contacting the helpline. With regards to your query we hope that we can offer you some information as to why this issue has occurred and how to remedy it.You will be experiencing this problem due to a simple build-up of moisture at the base of the mattress.Unfortunately moisture on the underneath of a baby or adult mattress can happen, especially with foam mattresses. This is because the foam mattress can soak up the moisture emitted by whomever is sleeping on the mattress. This moisture is not able to effectively escape due to it being trapped between a plastic pad, wooden ply and a mattress. This coupled with humidity in general does in some cases lead to mould on the mattress whether using a Sensor Pad or not. This is a natural occurrence, a build-up of moisture is quite common and is easily remedied by turning the mattress regularly and aerating the whole bed area (removing all covers and standing the mattress in a dry area or by a radiator for a few hours periodically). Most mattress manufacturers do advise to do this on a regular basis.
